Dream home - Part 7

Hi again. Unable to update my blog due to busy month. But here it is. Plastering or cementing the the house almost done. Not all actually but boleh lah. Approximately 70% done. The contractors are now levelling the floors since it was a bit rough and uneven. Putting tiles when it's level will be very easy for them. Brilliant ideas.

One of the contractors is attaching a cement plank for the window
Gypsum board already attached to the ceiling. It's time for me to start looking for cornice.

Below: lots of rocks placed in the wire basket to prevent water eroding the sand. Still in progress. This also has cost a lot of money.

Car Show in Miri

We went to Miri on 18th March 2011, stay overnight at Miri Plaza Hotel. As usual, looking for new items for the new house. Bought ceiling fans with remote for living room, and 3 new bed covers. Spent around RM$1000. Funny.....actually we're looking for lightings but ended up with buying different things.

Check out from hotel at 10.20am, to go to other shop and zoom back to Brunei. On the way back, went to E-mart (quite a big supermarket in Miri). While searching for parking, noticed lots of cars with sticker designs and boom..boom, the car audio sound too. Lucky, got one car park. We make a quick round on what's going on. Car shows such as new car, car audio and many others . There's a stage at the right hand corner, and a live band starts kicking in. Looks like 'May group' a rock legend performing on the stage....sorry no picture on the live band

Old school car..classic isn't it. Still functioning
Another old school car displayed
Fully loaded subwoofers, I think it's a Cougar brand...very famous in Malaysia
Won so many prizes on sound system...not sure on how they're being judged. According to IASCA, based on db sound and style
Wandering how they drive this car without rear view mirror.. Guessing that side view mirror will do
bling...bling....nice big rim
No way that this car will be on the road

Lizards

While visiting the new house, noticed so many wild lizards climbing the mango tree. Others were seen on the gate and wooden planks. It ran away if I got close to them. So, manage to get some photos of the lizards from far away. Unfortunately, I have no DSLR with me at that time so I snap shot them with my iphone.

Sorry...not a very clear picture

Crawling on wooden planks

Dream home - Part 6

Make a visit again to the site to see any changes. Cementing the walls still in progress. Roof galvanised steel truss just arrived at that time. According to the contractor, he had difficulty in finding the steel truss due to out of stock. Once have it, they sent them at night since it the steel truss were very long.

Installing the steel truss ongoing at the moment. Waiting for the roof to come. We're going for metallic silver colour. Hope they have it in stock. Will have a look at the finished installation next week.

Dream home - Part 5

Long time did not update this blog. Progression improving from time to time although its rainy season. From here, you can't see them because they do the inside part. Actually, the contractor advises us to select the roof and its colour choices. Metal truss for the roof still not available.

Slight changes especially the windows just to make it nice

Cementing the wall......Oops no harness lah

Just finished cementing the wall....Starts concentrating the colour of the house going to be, the doors, kitchen cabinet, tiles and so on. Just bought some items for the house and kept them at the shop and they will send them when the house is completed.

Wah...Kapal api....

My 2 sons

Here's my two sons and their photos.

These photos were taken during surveying furnitures for our new house
This was taken after attending my friend's wedding at Liang Lumut Recreational Club (LLRC). The photos were shot with Nokia N95
Alamak......not enough lighting. Iphone camera not that good, only 2MP.
Waie and Arif. Arif was about 5 months old

Dream home - Part 4

Not much progression so far due to rainy season. At the moment, the contractor did the inner part of the house, stacking bricks together. Below are photos of the progression.

Progression bit by bit
View of the 2nd floor area. They have stacked the bricks faster then we thought, actually the area should be extended 1 metre to the front. Their supervisor have discussed this earlier but misunderstanding and confusion cause them to did it wrongly. 2nd job....to remove the bricks and remeasure again.

I think now they have removed the bricks.

This is the lounge room. Looks big from the photo shot.
